The Use of Romans 13

On August 23rd, 2007, they appeared on the television website KSLA12, the following article.
“Homeland Security Enlists Clergy to Quell Public Unrest if Martial Law Ever Declared.” The Shreveport, Louisiana station reveals that the Homeland Security Department had put together a team of clergy to control the population in the event of the establishment of “Martial Law.” Listen to what the article says.
“Could martial law ever become a reality in America? Some fear any nuclear, biological or chemical attack on U.S. soil might trigger just that. KSLA News 12 has discovered that the clergy would help the government with potentially their biggest problem: Us. If martial law were enacted here at home, like depicted in the movie "The Siege", easing public fears and quelling dissent would be critical. And that's exactly what the 'Clergy Response Team' helped accomplish in the wake of Katrina.” “Homeland Security Enlists Clergy to Quell Public Unrest if Martial Law Ever Declared.”KSLA12, August 23rd, 2007
Interestingly enough, this Clergy Response organization will not just be allowed to function on its own, but will be trained, and given specific instructions regarding methodology to be used. Those clergy members have been chosen because they are known in their neighborhoods. Listen to how the article describes their function.
“Such clergy response teams would walk a tight-rope during martial law between the demands of the government on the one side, versus the wishes of the public on the other. "In a lot of cases, these clergy would already be known in the neighborhoods in which they're helping to diffuse that situation," assured Sandy Davis. He serves as the director of the Caddo-Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness. For the clergy team, one of the biggest tools that they will have in helping calm the public down or to obey the law is the bible itself, specifically Romans 13. Dr. Tuberville elaborated, "because the government's established by the Lord, you know. And, that's what we believe in the Christian faith. That's what's stated in the scripture." “Homeland Security Enlists Clergy to Quell Public Unrest if Martial Law Ever Declared.”KSLA12, August 23rd, 2007
The relevance of Romans 13 in the tools to be implemented by the Clergy Response Teams is their interpretation of Romans 13: verse 1 and 2: “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.” Notice, however,
“Paul does not imply in these verses that God always approves the conduct of civil governments. Nor does Paul mean that it is the Christian’s duty always to submit to them. The requirements of government may at times be contrary to the law of God, and under such circumstances the Christian is “to obey God rather than men” (Acts 4:19; 5:29). Paul’s point is that the ruling power of human governments is entrusted to men by God, according to His own purposes for man’s welfare. Their continuance in power, or their fall from authority, is in His hands. Therefore, the Christian will support the authority of the existing state. He will not presume to take it into his own hands to resist or to depose “the powers that be.” The Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary (Vol. 6, p. 626)
However, interpretation of Homeland Security is that under all circumstances leaders MUST be obeyed, and this theological deception has already begun to be taught to the many congregations that will ultimately be impacted by these men. Recently, the President in response to the threat by North Korea responded with threats of his own. Some have described his response as over the top and unnecessarily aggressive. Dallas megachurch pastor Robert Jeffress, however, has another opinion. On August 9, 2017, on the Dallas Morning News.com website appeared an article entitled: “First Baptist's Robert Jeffress: ‘God has given Trump authority to take out Kim Jong Un’” here is what it says.
“Dallas megachurch pastor Robert Jeffress, one of President Donald Trump's evangelical advisers who preached the morning of his inauguration, has released a statement saying the president has the moral authority to take out North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.”When it comes to how we should deal with evil doers, the Bible, in the book of Romans, is very clear: God has endowed rulers full power to use whatever means necessary - including war - to stop evil," Jeffress said. "In the case of North Korea, God has given Trump authority to take out Kim Jong Un." “First Baptist's Robert Jeffress: ‘God has given Trump authority to take out Kim Jong Un’” the Dallas Morning News.com, August 9, 2017
It is clear that leadership has already prepared to utilize a perverted interpretation of Scripture in order to accomplish their objective to deceive the population. Pastor Robert Jeffress expands his interpretation this way.
“Jeffress, who leads downtown's First Baptist Dallas, said in a phone interview that he was prompted to make the statement after Trump said that if North Korea's threats to the United States continue, Pyongyang will be "met with fire and fury like the world has never seen." The biblical passage Romans 13 gives the government authority to deal with evildoers, Jeffress said. "That gives the government to the authority to do whatever, whether it's assassination, capital punishment or evil punishment to quell the actions of evildoers like Kim Jong Un," he said. He said that many pacifist Christians will cite Romans 12, which says, "Do not repay evil for evil," but Jeffress says that that passage is referring to Christians, not to the government. "A Christian writer asked me, 'Don't you want the president to embody the Sermon on the Mount?'" he said, referring to Jesus' famous sermon. "I said absolutely not."” “First Baptist's Robert Jeffress: ‘God has given Trump authority to take out Kim Jong Un’” the Dallas Morning News.com, August 9, 2017
Clearly the perversion of this text will provide the powers that be with the ability to hide behind scripture to accomplish their goals.
Be warned! The time is near.
