What are we doing?

What is most amazing is the fact that those who claim to desire to see the nation be governed by Old Testament Law, have apparently failed in their study of the Scriptures, to have encountered Proverbs chapter 19 and verse 17 which says: “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.” But if you ask them, they will tell you that that they, like the rich young ruler referred to in Matthew, Mark and Luke have kept, and are keeping ALL the commandments of God, and like their President, have nothing to ask forgiveness for. Their pride in what they have accumulated and how they have increased their pointless wealth, leaves no room for the guilt that should accompany their theft from and abuse of those who have not developed the lust and greed that has taken complete control of their heartless personalities. The reason why it is so comfortable for them to accept the blatant and continual lying of their “leader” is the fact that they also lie constantly. Perhaps not with as much open and public abandonment as he does, but they lie too, and therefore are forgiving of the act of lying. As long as they are able to accomplish their personal goals and feed off the suffering of others, they will continue to support the obviously anguished liar, whose life depends feverishly upon the approval of others, just so he might exist.
A look behind the curtain must reveal the misery that dwells in the household of the greedy. The building, the clothing, the safety deposit boxes have not brought the calm and assurance that those who live from day to day might think they provided. Their misery is intense and continuous. The children develop a loneliness and a pointlessness that they too hope to overcome by the accumulation of things, and the control of people. It becomes incredibly important to be noticed and acknowledged; and when that approval is missing, there is a certain emptiness that remains unfulfilled. For these grotesque and paranoid imbeciles, it is not sufficient to steal and accumulate; they must also control what others have. When the government seeks to take care of those who are in need, they pretend that they are concerned with the national debt, when in actuality their single goal is the find a way to grab even more of that which, as far as they are concerned, should come to them.
At no point and under no circumstances do these hoarders ever have enough. Their lust is without limit. To them, poverty is the fault of the poor and should never be “rewarded.” Slavery is fine with them, even though they will pretend that it is not so. Perhaps the term slavery is the one that bothers them most, for them “involuntary Servitude” is a more acceptable way to refer to the kind of enslavement that they embrace. I am sure that they would argue that no-one is forcing anyone to work, therefore the term “involuntary Servitude” in inappropriate. But is that true? What if you cannot find employment that pays more? What if the pay scale across the board is set up in such a way to filter the population as you would have it, is not this “Involuntary?” Notice that everytime someone suggests an increase of the “minimum wage” there is the opposition to it based upon the fact that “businesses will not be able to afford it!” but there is never a sound when “the maximum wage” is expanded.
The record that is retained in heaven is not just a record of the lies, but rather a record of the expressed attitudes. Someone who is comfortable with lies is as John chapter 8 and verse 44 says: “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” As you can see in John Chapter 8 and verse 44, there is more of a threat contained in the comfort with lies. We may not be aware of the character shaping influence of dishonesty, but it reshapes the personality and the character to the extent that nothing about you can be trusted. Even a handshake can be a mis-direction, a smile a seduction. Those who voted are yet to see if the promises will be kept. The irony of it all is that already the concept of dishonesty is being accepted as “the way things are.” The father of lies understands how the human mind works. He knows that if we are willing to accept the liar, we have automatically accepted not just the lie itself but the concept of lying. Soon and very soon, a plethora of “alternative facts” will invade our thinking until the basic truths of God’s word will be rejected as “Fake News.” Thus, the genius of evil would have gained the kind of foothold that he would not have been able to accomplish by preaching false doctrine alone. But by invading the whole of our lives with that which is obviously not true and getting us to accept it as “normal;” by persuading the very men who stood in the pulpit week after week, proclaiming “truth” and demanding that their membership abide by that truth, to now support and defend blatant immorality an untruthfulness, is a victory for the powers of darkness.
Perhaps the time has come for us to look in the mirror, and ask ourselves, what are we doing?
