A Better Explanation

The recent awareness of catastrophic events in the world has been said by some to be the result of expanded news and scientific coverage and not necessarily a rise in actual frequency of events. Although a careful look at the USGS coverage of the situation does reveal a definite rise in the number and frequency of serious events. True, there is not a definite numerical consistency in the rise, but it is clear that even though there might be an occasional lull, there is a progressive advance that is noticeable.
Others claim that any change in frequency or intensity is due entirely to the warming of the globe, and they say this warming is due to the fact that we, that’s the collective we, are destroying the atmosphere and the planet by the activities that we are constantly engaged in. They say that we must begin to save the planet by cutting back on many of the dangerous activities that destroy the living conditions. One huge solution they say is something called “Sustainable Development 2030” a plan that first demands that we “cut” the carbon emissions of the planet by at least 20% in the first instance and moving forward, expand this cutback even more.
They claim that the temperature of the earth is increasing at a dangerous pace and if it is not checked life on earth will become impossible. The scientific data that is used to support this concept is pretty much accepted by all those who give way to the scientific approach. On the other hand there are those “conservatives” who claim emphatically that there is no such thing. They say that the earth warms and cools over time and basically, they say it will fix itself. Many of these conservatives claim that they are “Christians” and they often connect their point of view to their faith.
If the conservative are correct, then, there is nothing to worry about. The earth will ultimately return to its former temperature and the frequency and intensity of catastrophic events will soon slow. Unfortunately, these conservatives are not in the majority and most importantly, not in charge of the planet. Pope Francis, the United Nations and for that matter almost all member of the UN have signed on to this plan to “save the planet.”
There are however, some elements of this plan that have not been brought to light. First, the majority of the carbon output is daily created by corporate entities in China, the United States and Japan. One very well known candidate running in the Presidential Election as a possible Democratic competitor just yesterday received a shellacking in a particular state because of remarks made regarding the cutting back of the use of coal in industry. That state is terribly dependent upon the coal industry for survival. It is therefore not the average citizen who is selfishly emitting these large quantities of carbon, but corporate entities. Next, the millions of automobiles that add to this output are owned by the average citizens, yes but are another product of corporate enrichment. Even if it is possible to transfer these vehicles to electronic use, the production of that electricity would itself be problematic.
Finally, the vastly expanding global population has created an even greater need to expand production of just about every existing product in the world. Either we will drastically adjust our lifestyles, or drastically adjust the global population. What you might be unaware of is that there are those who are considering the advantages of both of these options. Let us hope that those who see the adjusting of the population as their best option, not be given an opportunity to implement their solution.
There is, however, a better explanation that clarifies what we see happening around us. In a conversation that Jesus had with his disciples on the Mount of Olives the warning was given.
Matthew 24:3 - And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
Matthew 24:4 - And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
Matthew 24:5 - For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Matthew 24:6 - And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Matthew 24:7 - For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Matthew 24:8 - All these [are] the beginning of sorrows.
It is very clear that the entire description of events that would take place, are taking place. Perhaps we should respond to them as a definite sigh of our Lord’s return.
