The Last Superpower

Avro Manhattan was born on April the 6th in the year 1914. He was born in Milan Italy, to parent of “Jewish extraction.” It is a rather interesting fact that he was born just a few months before the start of the First World War which is recorded as having started on 28 July 1914 and lasted until 11 November 1918. Interesting because, by the time we reached the Second World War, 1939-1945, Manhattan was jailed for refusing to serve in Benito Mussolini's fascist army. He was the author of more than 20 books. His historical sensitivity was profound, his research revealing and his evaluation astoundingly accurate.
In 1946, he published a book entitled “The Vatican and the USA.” His understanding of the subject is clearly demonstrated in this limited volume. Here is how the book opens.
“With the dawning of the twentieth century, a new, star has risen steadily in the West and increasingly dominatesthe troubled horizon of world politics: the American continent.
The energetic stride of a group of youngnations, which to a cynical Europe seem to be alarmingly lacking in experience and to possess a rather naive and therefore potentially dangerous idealism, has so altered the interplay of economic, political, social, and other factors throughout the world that to-day the American continent .not only takes upon itself European leadership but becomes the main arbiter of our age.” Avro Manhattan, “The Vatican and the US” page 1.
Remember that this evaluation of the global situation was made by Avro Manhattan exactly one year after the end of the Second World War. His insight continues to amaze, as he obviously understands the concept of the control. Listen to how he describes the shift regarding the elements of global influence:
“Economic, political, social, and to a great extent even cultural elements, whose natural centre until a few decades ago was in Europe, have had to orientate themselves to the changed situation and take' increasingly into account a rising Americanism not only in the purely political field, but also in the economic one, If this is true in the economic and political fields, it is also true in another, perhaps less evident but nevertheless vital sphere – religion.” Avro Manhattan, “The Vatican and the US” page 1.
It is evident that the rise of the United States has been the subject of observation for some time. The events leading up to the Second World War revealed that even though the United States did not enter that conflict at its beginning, its input would ultimately register heavily upon the outcome. But from the very beginning of its existence, this nation attracted the attention of one power in particular.
“The growth of American power has, of course, been watched by European and other States, and also by the leaders of industry and finance, an even greater degree of interest has been displayed by that most astute religious institution, the Catholic Church. The enormous losses in numbers and influence suffered by the Church in the Old World, has forced it to think of some scheme for the recovery of its influence. Its scheme envisages nothing less than the transformation of the whole American continent into one compact and powerful Catholic bloc.” Avro Manhattan, “The Vatican and the US” page 2.
The objective of the Papacy was to completely control the United States and by virtue of such control, the entire hemisphere and the world. Listen again to Avro Manhattan.
“The new orientation has two fundamental objects: first, to seek new ground where Catholicism could consolidate and expand, as compensation for its weakened position in a bankrupt Europe; second, to transform and ally itself with a continent destined to become the leading 'light of the twentieth century. This double policy (which, by the way, the Catholic Church has pursued consistently in past centuries) has already yielded the most encouraging results and secured a strong foothold for the Catholic Church throughout the American continent. The fact that the largest and most powerfulof all American countries, the U.S.A., is a Protestant country –is but an incentive to the Vatican to multiply its efforts towards transforming the whole western hemisphere, from the most northern outpost in Alaska to the most southern in Tierra del Fuego, into a solid Catholic territory, providing a base for its activities all over the planet.” Avro Manhattan, “The Vatican and the US” page 2.
What we therefore see today in the willingness of a formerly Protestant Nation to join hands with the Papacy is by no means an accidental occurrence. The next step is clearly foretold in scripture. Revelation 13, verses 11 and 12 says:
And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
The second beast of Revelation 13 is a description of the United States. The actions taken by the second beast will be played out in the actions of the United States. Zbigniew Brzezinski, Former United States National Security Advisor, in his book ‘The Grand Chessboard' says the following:
“America is not only the first, as well as the only, truly global superpower, but it is also likely to be the very last.” Zbigniew Brzezinski, ‘The Grand Chessboard' page 209
