Dr. Monsenor Rafael Rodriguez Guillen was born on March 27, 1927 in Seville Spain; his childhood was very short because his parents enrolled him in the seminary at the age of 12. During his stay he began to read the Bible. This earned him several reprimands by his superiors, who forbade him reading it, because according to them he was not ready to understand it. He was however determined to study the word for himself. He did exactly that in secret. Rafael excelled among his classmates, but maintained the spiritual values he gained from his study of the word. As time passed by he developed a hatred for the dogmatism, the sexual abuse, the buying and selling of ecclesiastical privileges, like pardons or benefices.
Guillen was the author of a number of books, one of which was entitled “The Power of the Vatican.” Quite often, the language in which a journal is originally written provides the best and clearest understanding. Much is often lost in the translation. I have found, however, that ever so often the simplicity of the manuscript is preserved. Listen to how the Monsenor describes himself and his work on page 86 of the book:
“I am a Monsignor and Doctor who writes about Christianity and its pseudo representative, Catholicism. During the years I have endeavored to get acquainted, with the true history of Christianity. Forty years I have been in pursuit of the true church founded by Jesus Christ on earth and her teachings. Even though I was educated, or rather brainwashed thoroughly in Catholic institutions, nevertheless I saw that Protestant and evangelical churches, though closer to God and true Christianity, and having a bigger percentage of saved Christians, were also in need of restoration.” Dr. Monsenor Rafael Rodriguez Guillen, “The Power of the Vatican, page 86”
The positions expressed by Doctor Guillen in his writings are, rather specific and direct. Listen to how he continues:
“Through my experiences within Catholicism, occupying some of the most diverse pastoral positions, and knowing the Catholic Church system in different nations, I have been able to come to several conclusions concerning which, with all due respect, I cannot help but write what I believe. We are now approaching the thresholds of the Third Millennium when democracies permit us to study, investigate, and speak the truth of history. We are granted the human rights of freedom of speech, worship, and beliefs, free from fear of excommunications or inquisitions, which Catholicism still wants to maintain. This freedom allows us to come to legitimate conclusions and reliable arguments and defy this powerful Dictatorial State of the Vatican, whose ambitions are not nor ever really have been Christian or spiritual, but to the contrary, political and economic ambitions.” Dr. Monsenor Rafael Rodriguez Guillen, “The Power of the Vatican, page 87”
Doctor Guillen then proceeds to describe some events that have taken place and are taking place in South America, that are the covert actions of the Papacy. Then the good Doctor sends forth a warning that is incredible.
“Forget not this reality, my brothers: Christ cannot be represented by a terrestrial, bloody state, a millennial dictatorship and antichrist sect such as this. "By their fruits," and not by their words, "You shall know them." We are witnesses of her scholastic falsities, her ambitions to get richer, her deviations, her deceiving, her ABOMINATIONS and in the name of our bless savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. Is it not now high time we unmask the Antichrist and Culprit of Christian ignorance?” Dr. Monsenor Rafael Rodriguez Guillen, “The Power of the Vatican, page 87”
Dr. Guillen has indeed demonstrated a bravery that is worthy of mention, especially in our times. A clarity of expression that provides a path that is worthy of the call to “come out of her my people.” It is indeed an urgent call because:
“There exist not, upon the face of the earth, a better organized dictatorship, and which has maintained herself for so many centuries, than the Fascist political state of the Vatican. She has known how to use the name of Christianity astutely, and has willed to represent Christian values thus confusing and deceiving millions. Well said, very well said. Hopefully we will take the warning.
