Disasters becoming more Frequent

Every time there is a catastrophic event in nature, scientists always feel the need to supply an explanation as to why this event has taken place. This is as ridiculous as listening to the “Stock Market Experts” immediately explaining why the market has taken a fall or has appreciatively risen. The fact of the matter is, that for the most part, the amount of insider trading that takes place each day, makes it impossible for these “experts” to ever reveal the real reason for any rise or drop in price. The definition of “Insider Trading” is the trading of a company's stocks or other securities by individuals with access to confidential or non-public information about the company. Even more specifically, Matthew Philips, writing for The Bloomberg Business, in an article entitled: “Is High-Frequency Trading Insider Trading?” says the following:
“Insider trading means having access to material, non-public information before it reaches the rest of the market; it’s like getting a heads-up about a merger before it’s announced, or maybe a phone call from a Goldman Sachs (GS ) board member saying that Warren Buffett is about to invest $5 billion in the bank. Over the past few years, federal prosecutors have collected a number of big insider-trading convictions of people who got early word about a piece of highly valuable information and made a lot of money as a result.” Matthew Philips, “Is High-Frequency Trading Insider Trading?”
High frequency trading is indeed the same. However, you will note that “high frequency trading” is never given as the reason for the fluctuation of the market. There is always some high sounding technological explanation given in exchange for the huge salary paid to continue to make the hardworking give their money so that the insiders might enlarge their take.
Same principle applies in the Meteorological world. Chrissy Warrilow , on the GPB Blog, in answering the question: How Do Meteorologists Predict the Weather? Says the following:
“Meteorologists are able to predict the changes in weather patterns by using several different tools. They use these tools to measure atmospheric conditions that occurred in the past and present, and they apply this information to create educated guesses about the future weather. Always remember that a weather forecast is an educated guess – meteorologists (and mankind, in general) cannot control the weather. The best we can do is observe past and present atmospheric patterns and data, and apply this information to what we think will happen in the future. Meteorologists use the scientific method on a daily – and even hourly – basis!” Chrissy Warrilow, How Do Meteorologists Predict the Weather?
One thing the field of Meteorology does have that is reliable is an accurate record of weather events. It would surprise you to know the number of years of information that is available. In this context, therefore, when The WorldWatch Institute website publishes an article entitled: “Natural Disasters becoming more frequent” the information is indeed accurate. The very first sentence declares: “The trend of more frequent global natural disasters continues, due to an onslaught of weather-related crises in the first half of 2008.”
They know for sure that the frequency is increasing. What they do not know is why. They claim that the climate is changing, that we are causing these changes and therefore we can correct and reverse the changes and thereby “save ourselves.” Isn’t it interesting that the ultimate goal is to “save the world?” isn’t it amazing that with all this scientific analysis it all comes down to “salvation?” An apparent ambition to “save the world” is the ultimate goal. This is rather amazing, of course since all this time, we have been evolving into smarter, wiser beings, suddenly we have begun to destroy ourselves? The most challenged intellectual can see that this kind of logic is tortured.
Yet these same individuals scoff at the idea that God created the world, that sin entered the world when Adam and Eve were seduced by satan, that the earth was cursed since then, that Jesus came and died to save mankind and that ultimately Christ is the only source of salvation. Listen to what the book Great Controversy says about the weather situation:
“While appearing to the children of men as a great physician who can heal all their maladies, he will bring disease and disaster, until populous cities are reduced to ruin and desolation. Even now he is at work. In accidents and calamities by sea and by land, in great conflagrations, in fierce tornadoes and terrific hail-storms, in tempests, floods, cyclones, tidal waves, and earthquakes, in every place and in a thousand forms, Satan is exercising his power. He sweeps away the ripening harvest, and famine and distress follow. He imparts to the air a deadly taint, and thousands perish by the pestilence.” {Great Controversy, page 589.3}
I would therefore suggest to you that Christ IS the single source of salvation available. That is why you should turn to him today.
